Bernard has developed a unique style of his own. Growing up some of his favorite artist and groups included Quincy Jones, John Coltrane, Bobbi Humphrey, Patrice Rushen, Roy Ayers, George Duke, Weather Report, Spyro Gyra, Earth, Wind, and Fire and others. These artist inspired his interest in jazz, smooth jazz, and jazz fusion. His list of influences has grown greatly since childhood to include saxophonist such as Dave Koz, Warren Hill, Kim Waters, Jeff Kashiwa, Everette Harp, and others.
Known for his smooth silky style, Bernard's playing and sound has gained great favor and appeal over a wide variety of audiences and people. Over the years, he has played at church, performed at banquets, weddings, workshops, retirement ceremonies, concerts, charity and other special events. Reverbnation
