The Jazz Guild/ Gene Leone Sr.

Gene Leone Sr., performed throughout his childhood years as a competitive dancer achieving numerous awards including "Mr. Teen" by "Stars Of Tomorrow" on Broadway, Gene Leone Jr. set out to make his mark in the music world. During High School they added several more members which brought the number to six. They named the band "The Hip Six". The teens interpretations of old standards and Jazz improvisations were considered refreshing by their mature audiences and a novelty that was sought after by many venues.

The Jazz Guild,  The mission of the Guild is to encourage and support Jazz by providing a network for young people to share their common interest in music, "we believe this will encourage students to become proficient in music performance and also develop better friends in this process".

The teens interpretations of old standards and Jazz improvisations were considered refreshing by their mature audiences and a novelty that was sought after by many venues.

However, the demands and commitments of High School and family life made it difficult to book gigs for the teenagers with all 6 members able to participate at the same time. So, Gene began reaching out to other young musicians to fill-in and replace members that couldn't make the gigs.

Isom Green Jr.

Isom Green Sr.,  His father bought him a Trumpet for me after he saw I had an interest in music while I attended one of his rehearsals. After I graduated high school, I attended college, where I studied the trumpet with Charley Davis and played in wind and jazz ensembles as well as different Jazz and R&B Groups. I worked in different studios in the LA area including Innovative Sounds of Music, which was a studio owned by my father. This is where I became interested in Recording and Music Production. As a producer, I have worked with many well known artists in the music industry such as Whitney Houston, Jermaine Jackson, and Ice Cube, just to name a few. Website
