Micheal L. Loyd

A child prodigy, Michael L. Loyd began playing the drums and guitar at the tender age of 6. At age 9 he began to play the piano and keyboards, and began writing and recording at the age of 16. Raised in Connecticut, he served in the Connecticut District Youth Music Department of the P.A.W. as the District Music Director which afforded him the opportunity to travel across the Eastern seaboard. Michael has been a member of the McDonald’s Gospel fest house band for the past 6 years. He has  traveled to London and Trinidad to play for various gospel artists.

This Pittsburgh, PA native has the ability to bridge the gap between the old school and the new school in gospel and jazz music. An accomplished producer, songwriter and musician, his resume reads like a who’s who in gospel music. He has performed live with gospel greats Edwin and Walter Hawkins, Beverly Crawford, Andre Crouch, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Twinkie Clark-Terrell, The Willie Smalls Singers, Richard Smallwood, Keith Pringle, The Kurt Carr Singers, BeBe Winans, Angela Spivey, Kim Burrell, Marvin Winans, J. Moss, Tonex, The Christianaires, Javen, Dawkins and Dawkins, Monique Walker, Marvin Sapp, Rance Allen, Douglas Miller and Micah Stampley, as well as legends Chaka Khan, Denise Williams, and D. J. Rogers.
